Road bikes are built for one thing: going fast with minimal resistance. Narrow tyres, aerodynamic geometry, lightweight construction. For athletes who love long rides, races or the feeling of speed on the road.
Shimano Sora and Tiagra are ideal for beginners: reliable, easy to maintain and affordable. For ambitious riders, 105 and Ultegra offer more precision and less weight.
If you ride exclusively on tarmac: road bike. If you also use gravel roads or uneven terrain: gravel bike.
